Shopping for Antiques
Strasburg was the earliest settlement in the Shenandoah Valley, dating back to the 1700's. Its village homes and surrounding
farms continue to yield some of the finest antiques anywhere.
Strasburg has earned the title "Antique Capital of Virginia" by virtue of its large number of fine antique shops centrally located
in the historic downtown area, anchored by the 65,000 (almost 1 1/2 acres) square foot The Strasburg Emporium Antiques.
The Strasburg Emporium Antiques, established in 1979, houses over 100 antique and art dealers in a variety of specialties, some of
which are: books, jewelry, glassware, collectibles, oak and Victorian furniture.

Among the shops one will find a variety of merchandise and services to satisfy both the most serious collector and those looking
for "just the right touch" to beautify their home.
Many artists and craftspersons exhibit their work in the Emporium. Many others have studios and sell their art at local shops
