The Town of Strasburg, founded in 1761 and incorporated in February 1922, is known for pottery, antiques, civil war history,

The County Park contains a picnic shelter, tennis courts, volleyball courts, three softball fields, a playground, and fitness trail.

Dogs are not allowed to run at large in the Town of Strasburg and should be licensed by Shenandoah County. The license is sold at the Treasurer's office in Woodstock. For more information, call 540-465-3621.
Garbage collection is on Wednesdays for the entire town. Garbage should be placed by the curb by 7:00 a.m.for collection. Recycling is every other Wednesday.
The Town of Strasburg offers two-hour parking in the downtown area. It also has two-hour parking spaces on the municipal lot and a parking lot behind the fire hall.
