The Bridges of Cedar Creek and the Valley Pike Join us for a presentation by Strasburg native and local historian, Daniel Downey, about the progression of bridge building on the Valley Pike at Cedar Creek over two centuries. Three different eras of highway development at this site will be discussed as well as the importance of the Valley Pike in commerce and travel, Civil War events and Stickley, Hite and Bowman family ties to the area.
